DESCRIPTION:In this immersive camp\, participants get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be an Environmental Educator at a nature center. Campers will learn the basics of reptile handling and interpretation\, plant and animal identification\, kayaking\, and public speaking. They’ll also meet professionals working in the nature field and discover pathways to becoming a naturalist themselves. DESCRIPTION:The Center is home to many animals that make up our Animal Ambassador Teaching Team\, including snakes\, turtles\, salamanders and more! Now you can experience first-hand what it takes to care for these animals\, and how we train them to interact with people. You will prepare diets\, clean enclosures\, and learn safe animal handling techniques.
